Manufacturers, researchers, and industry leaders across the animal health landscape are preparing for what promises to be a key event in 2026. The DIAH Conference, set to take place from 19 to 21 May in the historic city of Bruges, Belgium, is poised to become the focal point for innovation, collaboration, and strategic insight within the sector.

Designed to foster high-quality, informal interactions, the conference will host a select group of approximately 200 participants. This limited attendance ensures an intimate environment conducive to meaningful networking and collaboration. Over three days, attendees will engage in a comprehensive programme that includes keynote speeches, interactive workshops, innovation sessions, and dedicated B2B networking opportunities, all set against the picturesque backdrop of Bruges.

One of the defining characteristics of DIAH 2026 is its strong emphasis on early-stage innovation in animal health, covering areas from discovery through to proof-of-concept. The event aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia, promoting collaborative research and development initiatives that can accelerate the translation of promising scientific breakthroughs into market-ready solutions.

The conference’s programme features a experienced line-up of speakers, each bringing valuable perspectives on emerging trends and challenges:

  • On Tuesday, 19 May, from 16:00 to 17:30, Beatrice Vos, Partner at Stonehaven, will participate in Workshop 3: "Early Development & Valuation - Market Potential." Focusing on Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 5-6, this session will provide attendees with practical insights into evaluating the commercial viability of early-stage innovations, an essential step for securing investment and advancing research.

  • The following morning, Wednesday, 20 May, from 09:00 to 10:00, Juerg Baggenstoss, also a Partner at Stonehaven, will co-host a keynote lecture alongside Klaus Hellmann from Argenta and Kazuhiko Hirose from Meiji Animal Health. Titled "The Animal Health Industry: Livestock and Companion, Same Business?", this session explores whether the markets for livestock and companion animals are converging or diverging, offering a critical perspective on future industry directions.

With its focus on early-stage innovation, targeted networking, and cutting-edge discussions, DIAH 2026 promises to be a landmark event for anyone involved in animal health. Attendees will leave equipped with insights into emerging trends, potential collaborations, and opportunities to shape the future of the industry. The event underscores the sector’s collective commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration, key ingredients for overcoming the challenges faced by animal health professionals worldwide. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this influential conference in one of Europe’s most enchanting cities.
