🐐🐑 Listeriosis in small ruminants

Nerve symptoms, ranging from sudden coordination problems to unexplained blindness, can have several causes. They can significantly affect the welfare of affected animals and can produce frightening images for their owners. One of the possible causes of nervous symptoms in sheep and goats, is listeriosis. Listeriosis is a bacterial infection caused by Listeria monocytogenes. The condition can cause serious health problems, usually as a result of damage to the head nerves degenerating from the brainstem. In very severe cases, the disease can even be fatal.
