🐖🔬Innovative Diagnostic Approaches for Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae Infections in Pigs
Respiratory diseases pose a major challenge to pig farming and have serious implications for pig health and farm profitability. Among these diseases, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyopneumoniae) stands out as a major pathogen, causing enzootic pneumonia and contributing to the porcine respiratory disease complex. Understanding and improving the diagnosis of M. hyopneumoniae infections are crucial to reduce the impact on pig farming.
This article focuses on the use of the microbiome and new diagnostic tools to support the detection of M. hyopneumoniae infections.
