Innate porcine antiviral immune response
The research team mainly focuses on virus-host interactions of the porcine alphaherpesvirus pseudorabies virus (PRV), particularly interactions that affect the (innate) immune response. This research includes e.g. the identification of alphaherpesvirus evasion mechanisms of natural killer (NK) cells, plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC) and the interferon system.
